    CTV is a small, community-focused charity that supports both older and younger adults to stay active, connected, and well. Health and wellbeing activities are Lunch Club, Arts & Crafts, Yoga, Massage – all designed to bring people together in a friendly and supportive environment. To reduce loneliness and isolation, help individuals maintain their independence, to create a welcoming space for all.

About the vacancy

    We are urgently seeking a Bookkeeper / Treasurer to manage our accounts and spreadsheets, ensuring the financial health of Common Thread Vision. If you have financial experience or an interest in managing budgets, spreadsheets, book-keeping, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

    -Attend about 8 board meetings per year (lasting around 2 hours, including online meetings)
    -Support and oversee the development of CTV in line with its charitable objectives.
    -Act in the best interest of CTV and its service users.
    -Live within Pollokshields or surrounding areas.
    -Location: Pollokshields Community Centre
    -Managing the organisation’s accounts and keeping financial records up to date.
    -Preparing and monitoring budgets to support the sustainability of our services.
    -Presenting financial reports at Board Meetings in a clear and accessible way.
    -Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and charity governance.
    -Supporting fundraising and grant applications with financial insight.
    -Advising the Board on financial planning and risk management.

    • Knowledge of accounting and reporting requirements specific to charitable accounting · Knowledge of accounts including year-end processes, statutory accounts

    • Ability to work as part of a small team

Desired Qualifications

    -Desirable Experience:
    in Event Management, working with charities, fundraising, applying for funding is a plus.
